IMEAT 2021: INNOVATION FOR THE MEAT WORLD SIGNED EPTA

From 12 to 14 September, Epta welcomes you to iMeat 2021, the only trade fair in Italy for retail butchers, specialised catering and delicatessens. An opportunity to share trends, strategies and discuss the future of the sector, in the sign of recovery. The novelties of this seventh edition include, for example, the sectors dedicated to meat processing and excellence of the finished product and the involvement of 3,500 Spanish butcher shops and salami factories that can take part in the three-day event online.

The protagonists of the Epta stand (Pad A Stand C16) will be the traditional refrigerated cabinets Bistrot of the Eurocryor Stili range, with a minimal design, conceived to elegantly enhance the quality of the meats. The cabinets stand out for their versatility, confirmed by the numerous modules that can be combined with one another.

Designed to meet the needs of modern butcher shops, the models merge aesthetics and innovation: they can be equipped with different technologies including the Dynamic System, ensuring moisture retention to values above 90%, allowing meat to be stored in the cabinets for longer and removing the need to put it back into the cold rooms overnight.

The Adaptive System - a system to manage refrigeration also stands out for its ability to regulate the operating parameters of the cabinets. It continuously adapts to environmental variations, to ensure the best performance in terms of temperature stability, moisture retention and consequent reduction in consumption.

The Epta stand will feature a special configuration of the Misa cold room developed ad hoc to meet the needs of the butchery sector, synonymous with food safety and equipped with Epta Food Defence, a patented antibacterial system with silver ions, which has an antibacterial and antimicrobial effect.

Ballet, a vertical refrigerated cabinet of the SlimFit family of the Costan range, also completes the set-up. It is a small wine cabinet with glass doors and elegant stainless-steel finishes, designed to ensure maximum visibility of the labels and transform butcher shops into a welcoming space where you can find the perfect combination between food and wine, with a view to cross-merchandising.

To demonstrate the commitment of Epta to the professional growth of new generations, the stand of the Group will host the students of the butchers training course, sponsored by the company who will deal with setting up the refrigerated cabinets.

Finally, the initiatives for young people against the backdrop of iMeat include the final of the Italian Young Butchers Championship launched by Federcarni at its stand, next to that of Epta. The Group, partner for the competition, will provide a Eurocryor Bistrot refrigerated cabinet and a Misa cold room. To highlight the importance of the correct storage of products, which is a guarantee of their best quality, Eurocryor awarded the “Food safety and Technical Ability” prize at every stage of the event to the participant who demonstrated the utmost respect for this factor.

Moreover, at the end of iMeat, to turn the meat stored inside the Eurocryor cabinets into a resource, Epta will donate the cuts and preparations to the voluntary association Porta Aperta of Modena. This shows the level of commitment the Group has for communities and the fight against food waste.
