Epta designs and installs its largest transcritical CO2 refrigeration system of South America for Cencosud in Chile
Epta accepts the challenge of Cencosud, which has chosen to focus on sustainability for its Jumbo store in Maipu, Santiago del Chile: a store of 12,000 m2 in which only 100% green solutions have been used and for which the largest transcritical CO2 refrigeration system by Epta has been designed and installed in South America. A great success for the Group, involved once again by the Brand, after the store in Puerto Montt.
Cencosud entrusted itself to Epta as the only market player expert in the design and installation of large scale and turn key refrigeration systems: from the conception of the cabinets, including the personalised kind, to the installation of the two transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems to the supervision of the entire work. The store of Maipu marks a new goal for Gruppo Epta thanks to the applied engineering work performed on the two transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems for a total refrigeration power of NT KW 684 and 148 in LT, able to ensure high performance, even in high temperatures. A success made possible by the perfect combination of collaboration and coordination between Gruppo Epta and the technical departments of Epta Chile and Epta Argentina, which have more than 25 transcritical CO2 installations.
The stars of the store are GranVista Next the positive temperature vertical cabinets of the GranFit range of the Costan brand. They amaze for their unique style and elevated visibility, geared to enhancing the products in virtue of the total transparency of the full glass doors. A final artist's touch at the store is represented by the EptaConcept solutions designed ad hoc to present delicious risottos and paellas. These include a special system, which merges linearity of shape, order and hygiene with an internal fitting characterised by shelves at three different heights, for a greater presentation of ready-made dishes.
