EPTA DELIVERS THE FIRST CO2 INSTALLATION OF THE ARABIAN GULF
Epta, in virtue of the efficiency and low environmental impact of its solutions, has been chosen as partner for a prestigious project in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi: the realisation of the recently inaugurated My City Centre Masdar shopping mall. The building, of 18,500 m², includes 70 shops, a supermarket of 7,000m² and is a tangible example of the commitment of the client to the environment, in line with the sustainable development goals set by the city of set by the city of Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. It presents itself as one of the most eco-friendly regional shopping malls and sets itself the goal of recycling 80% of waste produced, avails of a photovoltaic system, LED lighting and refrigerated solutions that contribute to reducing energy consumption.
The store boasts the first ever and only system powered by natural refrigerant CO2 in the Countries of the Gulf. The client specifically requested the FTE Full Transcritical Efficiency of Epta with transcritical CO2. This is a simple solution, which overcomes the challenge of an installation in a desert climate like that of Abu Dhabi where the temperatures reach highs of 51°C, guaranteeing up to 25% energy saving (compared to a traditional refrigerant R404a system). The attention to the environment goes hand in hand with the research of a contemporary design and clean lines. Stars of the lanes of self-service fresh and frozen products are the Costan solutions of the GranFit family, the positive temperature vertical GranVista Next, the semi-vertical Aeria Next and the vertical for frozen products GranBering, which combine large display surfaces and reduced consumption. This last solution, for example, presents a TEC/TDA value equal to 9.13 (-17.2% compared to the preceding models) thanks to new higher performing doors.
The Costan Branded Rossini Design and the Eurocryor Bistrot display cabinets, dedicated to the display of local cheese and olives are worthy of note in the serve-over areas.
The installation is completed by EptaService Radar, the exclusive remote monitoring system offered by the EptaService brand, able to analyse the cabinet parameters, manage any alarms and ensure predictive diagnostics and timely interventions.
